Sick.
Daycare germs have gotten the best of us again. Colin's sitting here with me at the office while we wait to hear back from our Dr. Fever, gunky nose, little cough, and general yuckiness. :(

Blowouts
No, not the kind you get done at the salon after a haircut. The kind that produce a yellow mustard display all over the back of our son's shirts. Every. Day. Thus, baths are a necessity in our house lately.

Rice Cereal - 0, Colin - 1
Colin didn't dig his first experience with rice cereal. His disgusted facial expression made for some good photos and video though.

I love my new high chair!
Can I just play with the bowl?
yum...
All done!

Routine
I like that word. It's comfortable. It describes the kind of week we've been having. Nothing exciting. Nothing out of whack. Just work, eat, workout, sleep. Repeat.
Seems like Colin's starting to come down with something again - maybe just a cold? - so here's hoping for continued decent sleep each night.
Happy Wednesday!

Super Bowl Sunday
We've had a productive day gearing up for the big game. Church, Sam's, groceries, and plenty of play time.

Marking Miles
It's been a rough week or so in our house. The lack of sleep is getting to all three of us. Finally last night we were rewarded with two things:
1) the opportunity to go to bed at 9:00
2) a solid 7 hour stretch from Colin (he woke up only to eat for 20 mintues, then talked himself back down and woke up happy, 3.5 hours later).
Due to our zombie-like state, our gym membership cards have started collecting dust. John and I are used to marking miles on the treadmill - sweating out the day's frustrations and working toward a fitness goal. These days we're marking them in rolling attempts, squeals of delight, and sleep-filled nights. And while our bodies may feel a tad neglected, we wouldn't trade it for anything.

The best day ever!
September 24, 2009. 2:25 p.m. As SpongeBob would sing, "It's the
best day eh-ver!" Colin John entered the world after 21 hours of labor. He
tipped the scales at 7 lbs. 15 oz. - very average and I think smaller
than everyone was expecting for a Holt baby. It was by far the best
thing that has happened to us in our five years of marriage.

Add this to my list of responsibilities...
We're officially joining the blogworld! We decided to jump in to the 21st century and share the events and ramblings of our life as a new family of three. Enjoy!
