11 months

Here he is in all his 11 month glory. Looks slightly older than at 4 weeks, huh? He's teething so the photo shoot was work for all 3 of us today. Luckily the game of "I'm gonna get you" always brings a smile to Colin's face.

In 11 month news:
  -Weighs slightly over 22 lbs.
  -Still taking 4 milk feedings a day (5 1/2 - 6 oz. each)
  -3 meals & 1 snack
  -Loves veggies & fruit (& now Papa's pancakes, too!)
  -Plays well by himself & enjoys putting objects inside [a box or Noah's Ark] & taking them out again
  -Lots of babbles & verbalizing (no real words)
  -TOOK 3 STEPS YESTERDAY!!

Hodge podge of thoughts

Happy 11 months, Colin! You really brought in your new month with a bang. Literally. You took a pretty hard fall last night but everything seems to be a-ok this morning. Tough boy!

I love this photo of the 3 of us at the game on Saturday. Apparently the placement of the Blue Bunny vendor was foreshadowing of what was to come in the day. I bought a Twins helmet sundae with twist ice cream & let Colin have a taste. He loved it. To the point that he threw a fit when his dad got a bite & he didn't! I may or may not have given him a handful of tastes...

Last night was John's official first night of class. I didn't even get to take a photo of the grad school boy! Maybe next week. 

We're still waiting for Colin's buddy Wee to arrive. His due date is tomorrow. I'm putting my arrival date guess in at 8/28.

Twins!

We're back from our Twins getaway weekend, although we're not sure if we're so happy about it. The outcome of the game was not what we'd hoped for but it was still an awesome weekend. Target Field is amazing in person. We lucked out & even had shade the entire game. Colin & I did lots of walking around since there wasn't much action on the field to cheer about. This morning Colin told me he misses uncle Luke & Luke's rendition of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".

Weekend Recap

Why can't it be summer all year long? Do you really think we'd miss the snow & cold of winter?

Weekends like this are what summer is all about. We headed to Kelly's parent's cabin at Grand View for the weekend. That place is so amazing & we had a fabulous time. Wine tasting, golfing, walks along the lake, swimming, & good food & drinks...nothing better!

I can't help but think about how fun it will be for Colin (& possibily some cousins?) when he's able to appreciate all that the resort has to offer.

Meet Mushroom

Thanks to auntie Elizabeth, Colin will never be succumbed to "playing" with a box in the car again.

Meet Mushroom. That's what we're calling him. He's Sophie's cousin & has a crazy name that we don't know how to pronounce. I am under strict orders to keep him in my purse (or better yet, how about the middle console in the Endeavor?) so that my wee one always has a form of distraction in the car.

No more Mother of the Year awards for me.

Things are starting to liven up around our house now that Colin is more mobile. He's so much more active when he plays! He loves to "get" his dad, crawl & climb up on us, & is even starting to play catch (well, a form of catch anyway).
