12 months

The last of the monthday photos...finally!

Colin's 12 month stats:

• 7 teeth (4 top, 3 bottom) with the bottom molars starting to become visible
• Walking a ton but still prefers to crawl when he wants to get somewhere fast
• Weighs 22 lbs. 10 oz.
• Drinking out of a sippy cup two times per day (transitioning - almost completely on cow's milk)
• Same nighttime & daytime sleep & routine
• In bed @ 7:30PM
• Up around 7AM 
• Nap @ 9:15-11:00AM & 1:15-3:00PM
• Points to show us what he wants

Happy 1st Birthday, Colin John! We are so lucky to have you in our lives & are incredibly proud of you. We hope your first year of life was as exciting, fun & full of happiness as it was for us.

Ladies & Gentlemen...

...we have a walker! It's amazing how much Colin is walking now. He still falls quite a bit but it seems like walking is quickly becoming his choice of transportation. That is until he falls & then realizes it's way quicker to crawl. Photos or possibly a video to follow...

The boys

I had to snap this photo of the boys on our way out of the house yesterday morning. Our neighbors gave Colin this hat when he was born & we've been [not so] patiently waiting for him to fit into it. Maybe it'll help the Twinkies with another sweep this weekend!

One year ago

How far along? 40 weeks (9/17/09)
Total weight gain/loss: Up 37 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Most definitely.

Stretch marks? Still two small ones but even more red.

Best moment this week: Reaching EDD and receiving some reassuring that I wasn’t leaking amniotic fluid.

Movement: Babe definitely sleeps more. Movement has slowed until something sugary enters my system. Had NST today & couldn’t get a good reading on the activity until I drank half a can of Sprite. :)

Food cravings: Anything light.

Gender: Cannot decide. We’re so ready to find out!

Labor signs: A few contractions here and there. Mostly just crampy.

Belly button in or out? Half out, half flat.

What I miss: My body!

What I’m looking forward to: Meeting babe. We have so many questions: Will it be a boy or girl? Dark hair or blonde? Dimples?

Milestones: EDD is here. We made it 40 weeks!

My Pal Scout



Thanks to the Enriquez family, Colin met Scout on Sunday morning. He wasn't quite sure what to think but has warmed up to him in the past few days. He'll even dance to the songs & laugh when Scout barks. 

If you haven't seen Scout, you're missing out! He can "learn" Colin's name & how to spell it, his favorite foods & color, sings songs & plays games. He even has lullaby music. Oh - & in our house he also helps with research papers.

Dancing!

Dancing Queen King

Of course my memory card is full just when I get adorable video of the little man "dancing"! He was starting to get into it at the end. :)

This was last Thursday night during the pregame show for the Vikes game. He is now enthralled with music & feels the need to dance whenever he hears it. Now if only he could learn his dad's sweet moves...

First Box Car Days

Labor Day has come & gone...so hard to believe! School is back in session & we're back to our weekly routine. But not before we had some Labor Day weekend fun!

Uncle Luke came back to MN for the wedding of one of his best friends. Once Colin warmed up, he had fun with Luke & Alexa.

We headed out of town to Tracy on Friday for Colin's first Box Car Days. The weather was on the chilly side, we dealt with lots of mustard diapers & some painful teething but we had a great time. John & uncle Andy played softball again this year, we visited with some high school friends, were patrons of the beer tent once or twice, took in the sights of carnival rides & fair food, & had plenty of play time.
