Wordless Wednesday

$1 worth of fun

We made a big purchase at Target yesterday.  We had to think long and hard about whether or not these bath toys were worth a whole dollar.  As evidenced in these photos, I think they were.

Back in the swing of things

Things are finally starting to feel "normal" again this week.  Between celebrating our sister-in-law's 30th,

traveling to Missouri for a week, maintaining the house for possible showings, class for John, getting caught up on a week's worth of emails & tasks, & MORE SNOW, it's been a crazy last couple weeks.  Needless to say, there was still plenty of playtime over the weekend:

The 30th year

Today marks 30 years ago that my mom & dad welcomed a girl into their family.  I should probably be sentimental & reminisce about the events & accomplishments during the last 30 years (or even the last 10, for that matter).  But it's late.  I'm sitting in a hotel room that makes me feel like I'm back in the days of the Pony Express.  Oh wait.  Maybe that was their point.  Regardless, I'm thankful to my parents for bringing me into this world at 8:13 AM, 30 years ago today.  I'm thankful for another year of health & life.  And I'm thankful to my wonderful husband, friends, & family who made today memorable.
