9 months

Today finally allowed for us to take Colin's 9 month pictures. I thought it was work to get his 8 month shots...that was nothing compared to today! We have a little mover & explorer on our hands. Thus, sitting & taking pictures was not what Colin had planned after he woke up from his afternoon nap.

Again, we both think this is such a fun age. I'm pretty sure we've said that about every stage from 4 months on. It really is amazing to see the wheels turning in his head now. He loves analyzing everything around him & especially enjoys banging objects together to hear the noise they'll make.

9 month stats:
~19.5 lbs (33%; this was when he was sick last week, so I'm sure he's well over 20)
~28.5" (67%)
~Pulls up on furniture, toys & us
~Cruises easily & without caution
~6 teeth

His favorite (baseball egg) toy provided a brief break from trying to jump off the chair.

Jammies days

Nothing beats staying in your jammies & watching Team Umizoomi on a Thursday morning. What a great way to celebrate turning 9 months old!

Fever is back today (102.5) & the whines are in full force. The appetite has improved so hopefully this virus is kicked soon.

I'm a big kid now!

Nope, not that kind of Pull-Up. But Colin did pull himself up on the chair in his room last night! It's the first time he's done it on a taller piece of furniture without any help. We've given his butt a little boost in the past but he didn't need it last night. Sure, he got a good taste of the microfiber fabric but he was so excited when he finally made it to his feet. Lots of belly laughs & squeals of delight!


Side note: he's SO CLOSE to crawling! I think it's starting to frustrate him that he can't do it. He constantly is up on his knees in his sleep & he inchwormed forward in his crib this morning. John thinks it'll happen in the next two weeks.

Colin has a new responsibility around the house. You know, in addition to his daily eating & sleeping.

Roadtrip!

Colin had his first long roadtrip this past weekend. A college roommate of mine got married so my mom, Colin & I drove the 8 hours for a 404 reunion. John had his brother's bachelor party so he flew solo for a few days.

Overall, the trip went really well. Too bad it didn't include the limo purchase & birth of a new business venture for Miller. :) Colin did pretty well in the car & it was wonderful having my mom along for the company & the extra set of hands. Thanks again, Mom!
