This past weekend was marathon weekend and I'm ashamed to say I didn't participate! John did though, and finished the 10k in great time.

We opted to stay at Andy & Susan's instead of biking up to the dome to see John finish. Colin had the royal treatment - his own chair and a bite of uncle Andy's donut. Lucky kid!

After the full & halfers went past, we weaved our way down to Mike & Karina's. It was a completely different atmosphere going from mile 1 to mile 21. They had a John Hughes movie character theme & the costumes were hilarious! Rumor is these guys thought they were in college again that afternoon...
Unfortunately, this was not an uncommon sight the entire day. Poor kid had a temp & was feeling the effects of hand, foot & mouth. Yes, again. : (
No matter, it was a fun weekend cheering on the runners & hanging out with friends & family.

OK, so that picture of him sitting in the chair with is cup is too cute! Nice work to John for a great run. Sounds like he did really well!! Hope Colin gets to feeling better soon. :)
